A Safe Crossing of US 41 Presentation – Monday, September 25th, at 6pm

22 Sep A Safe Crossing of US 41 Presentation – Monday, September 25th, at 6pm

On Monday, September 25, at 6 pm, the Marquette Charter Township’s Recreation Committee

and the Planning and Zoning Department will present “A Safe Crossing of US 41.” The

informational session will be held in the Township’s Community Center. The presentation will

illustrate the economic and safety benefits of a non-motorized and a snowmobile underpass of

US 41.

The proposed US 41 underpass will connect the Noquemanon Trail Network’s North and South

Trails. It will also connect the Michigan Department of Natural Resources snowmobile access to

Trail #14. Trail #14 connects our Township to Big Bay and beyond.

The underpass will also provide North Country Trail users access to local amenities, as a

connector to the State’s “Iron Belle Trail.” This is a win-win for non-motorized and snowmobile

access in our Community.

We hope you will join us next Monday night. Your input is important to the success of a safer

crossing of US 41.

Thank You.
